“She sent the gentle sleep from Heaven.” is what I chose because its like the sleep that he finds to be gentle has come from Heaven which means it feels good
I think “Is that a death and are there two?” Is most important because it shows that the crew and the mariner are in deep trouble and if its two they could suffer more and be killed quicker which its bad for the mariner. It also makes the reader feel intreged to what will happen next.
Day after day, day after day,
We stuck, nor breath nor motion ;
As idle as a painted ship
Upon a painted ocean.
I chose this because its saying that every single day that goes by they aren’t able to move at all
even when they use up all their breath they are stuck like a painting of a ship on the ocean ; no movement
The sea is described as slimy because in the poem it says “Slimy things did crawl with legs upon the slimy sea”. This says that there was a chance that the was something slimy inside the sea that could look like their being followed.
The one I think its significant is “With my crossbow I shot the Albatross.” because they say if you kill albatross they say that a curse will be placed upon you which means that the end of the story its going to be set in the next part of the poem and the mariner made a big mistake.
